Evolving Haul Trucks | Hump Days with Hunter

The Cat 730 has received some updates, and in this episode of Hump Days with Hunter, we're taking a closer look at a brand-new unit from our friends at Thompson Tractor equipped with a Premier water tank.

While the latest 730 may look familiar from the outside, Caterpillar has made several updates to the operator experience. The traditional keyed master switch and ignition have been replaced with a push-button and passcode system, while a new in-cab display provides access to machine settings, service information, lighting, climate controls, radio, and more.

One thing that hasn't changed is the overall cab layout. Premier's water system controls continue to integrate into the existing console location, keeping the installation clean and the controls easily accessible to the operator.

The truck shown in this video is still making its way through Premier's final quality-control process before decals are installed and the completed machine is released for shipment.
